Overview

Remind Cards AI is a flashcard app designed to help people study with spaced repetition and calm daily review sessions. This page explains what information we may collect, how we use it, and the choices you have about your data.

Information we may collect

Depending on how the app is used, we may collect:

  • Basic account details such as your name, email address, and sign-in identifier (via Google Sign-In).
  • Flashcards, decks, study settings, review history, and images that you create or upload.
  • Device, diagnostic, and performance information used to keep the app stable and secure.
  • Basic usage analytics that help us understand app performance and improve the product.
  • Study statistics such as your number of decks, number of flashcards, total streak days, and total study time, used for analytics purposes.
  • Advertising identifiers and related data collected by Google AdMob to display ads (see "Advertising" below).

AI Processing

Some user content, such as text or images, may be sent to third-party AI services (currently Google Gemini) to generate flashcards or analyze content. These services process your content only to provide the requested functionality within the app.

Google Drive backup (optional)

If you enable backup, the app asks for permission to access your Google Drive and stores a copy of your study data (such as decks, cards, and settings) in your own Google Drive account. We only access the backup files the app creates; we do not read other files in your Drive. You can turn off backup or delete the backup files from your Google Drive at any time.

How we use information

  • To provide the flashcard app and sync your study data across sessions or devices.
  • To calculate spaced repetition schedules and personalize your review experience.
  • To maintain security, prevent abuse, fix bugs, and improve reliability.
  • To communicate important service, support, or policy updates.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share limited data with trusted service providers, including:

  • Supabase (data storage and authentication)
  • Google (sign-in, analytics, crash reporting, and Google Drive backup when you enable it)
  • Google AdMob (advertising)
  • Google Gemini (AI content generation)

These providers process data only to provide services on our behalf.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

Remind Cards AI uses Google AdMob, a mobile advertising service provided by Google, to display ads within the app. To serve and measure ads, AdMob and its partners may collect and process data such as your device's advertising identifier (for example, the Android Advertising ID or Apple's IDFA), IP address, approximate location, and information about your interactions with ads.

This data may be used to personalize ads, limit how often you see a particular ad, measure ad performance, and detect fraud. In regions where it is required (such as the European Economic Area, the UK, and Switzerland), we ask for your consent before serving personalized ads through a Google-certified consent message, and you can choose non-personalized ads or withdraw consent at any time.

You can also limit ad personalization through your device settings (for example, "Reset advertising ID" or "Opt out of Ads Personalization" on Android, and "Limit Ad Tracking" / "Allow Apps to Request to Track" on iOS).

Storage and retention

We keep information for as long as it is reasonably necessary to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our terms. If you delete your account or request deletion, we will aim to remove or anonymize your data within a reasonable period unless we must keep some of it for security, legal, or operational reasons.

Data security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption of data in transit and access controls on the systems we operate. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International data transfers

We are based in Estonia (European Union). Some of our service providers, such as Google and Supabase, may process or store data on servers located outside your country, including in the United States. Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or providers certified under an approved data transfer framework.

Your choices

  • You can choose what study content you add to the app.
  • You can stop using the service at any time.
  • You can request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data where applicable.

If you are in the European Economic Area, you also have the right to object to or restrict certain processing, to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Children's privacy

Remind Cards AI is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can review and remove it when appropriate.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and revise the "Last updated" date above.
